MTK Driver Installation

Download MTK Drivers

Download the latest MediaTek USB VCOM drivers for your Windows PC (Windows 7/8/10/11).

Use the official MediaTek driver package for best compatibility.

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

For Windows 8/10/11, you may need to disable driver signature enforcement:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery
  • Click "Restart now" under Advanced startup
  • After reboot, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart
  • Press F7 to "Disable driver signature enforcement"

Install Drivers

Extract the downloaded driver package and run the installer as Administrator. Follow the installation wizard.

Connect your phone in OFF state. Do not connect while installing drivers.

Verify Installation

To verify drivers are installed correctly:

  • Connect your powered-OFF MediaTek phone to PC via USB
  • Open Device Manager (Right-click Start menu > Device Manager)
  • Look for "MediaTek USB Port" under Ports (COM & LPT)

IMEI Repair Process

Prepare Your Phone

Ensure your MediaTek phone has at least 50% battery. Backup all important data before proceeding.

IMEI repair may void warranty. Proceed at your own risk.

Enter Engineer Mode

Dial *#*#3646633#*#* or *#*#54298#*#* on your phone to enter MTK Engineer Mode.

If these codes don't work, you may need a third-party app like "MTK Engineer Mode" from Play Store.

Connect to Repair Software

Use a PC repair tool like:

  • SN Writer Tool
  • Maui Meta 3G
  • Chimera Tool
  • Octoplus Box

Write New IMEI

Follow the tool instructions to write your original IMEI numbers. You'll need:

  • Original IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 (15-digit numbers)
  • Correct MP0B_001 file for your device model
  • Proper connection in Preloader or Brom mode
After successful write, reboot your device and check IMEI by dialing *#06#
